The Inspectorate of Ministry of Justice for the Inspection of the work in Kosovo Correctional Servic

Established by decision of the Minister of Justice, The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Justice for the Inspection of the work in Kosovo Correctional Service, is an independent mechanism to supervise the Kosovo Correctional Service. Inspectorate is a separate organizational structure of the Ministry of Justice, foreseen by the Law on Execution of Criminal Sanctions. The mandate of Inspectorate is to supervise the implementation of legal provisions, accuracy, effectiveness and applicability of laws, with the aim of providing a unique system of execution of penal sanctions.

Vision

Vision of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Justice is that through the continuous training and professional enhancement, to be at the service of creating norms and highest standards of supervision of Kosovo Correctional Service. In our vision, in the future, is the supervision of the Probation Service of Kosovo.

Mission

The mission of the Inspectorate of Ministry of Justice for the inspection of the work in Kosovo Correctional Service is to supervise the work and activities of KCS, dealing with: security measures for prisoners, respecting their rights and undertaking the re-socializing measures provided by LECS and other international conventions
