Minister Haxhiu and Ambassador Kosnett discussed the priorities in the rule of law

During this meeting, Minister Haxhiu expressed her commitment to close cooperation with the United States, always in the interest of all citizens and the state of Kosovo.

Minister Haxhiu informed Ambassador Kosnett about the changes and the reforms that have begun to be undertaken to strengthen the rule of law, mentioning also the vetting issue, and informed him of the first steps regarding the establishment of the group of experts to draft the scenarios for this process.

As other priorities, Minister Haxhiu mentioned the fight against corruption and organized crime, in which case the priority of the Government will be to pave the way for the development of the country and the process of Functional Review of the Rule of Law Sector.

Ambassador Kosnett congratulated the Minister on her new post and expressed his willingness to contribute and support the priorities of the Ministry of Justice related to the rule of law.
