While opening the workshop, Minister Tahiri welcomed the participants and stated that “The Ministry of Justice is committed to review the provisions of the codes that have been considered by judges and prosecutors as potential obstacles in their work, with a view to advancing the legal infrastructure, so that the law enforcement bodies are provided with adequate legislation that would enable the prevention and combating of negative phenomena, primarily the criminal offenses related to corruption, organized crime, and terrorism”.
The Ministry of Justice has received numerous comments that will be the subject of discussion in this workshop which tomorrow will continue its work.
The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Justice and was supported by the US Embassy in Kosovo.
This workshop is attended by representatives from the EU office, OSCE, judges, prosecutors, representatives from the Anti-Corruption Agency, civil society, Kosovo Police, as well as local and international experts.
