As part of the global campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence,” the Mobile Office for Free Legal Aid began its work today in the Municipality of Kastriot, with the aim of strengthening access to justice for all, especially for the most vulnerable groups in society.

The Acting Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kastriot, Halil Thaqi, and the Director of the Free Legal Aid Agency, Faton Jashari, participated in this activity.

On this occasion, Minister Sallahu emphasized that the launch of the Mobile Office marks an important step toward providing closer and more accessible services for every citizen, wherever they live, by offering free legal aid to all those who lack financial or other social means.

“This office will serve the citizens of Kastriot, who can come here and receive free services,” said Minister Sallahu.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Kastriot, Halil Thaqi, thanked the Ministry of Justice for the cooperation and highlighted the importance of this service for the residents of Kastriot, noting that the municipality will soon provide full support for the operationalization of a permanent office.

The Mobile Office will operate in the Municipality of Kastriot for one month and will then continue its work in other areas of the municipality. This office is the result of cooperation among the FLAA, UNDP, and the Municipality of Kastriot.
