“The rule of law is a reality only when law and justice prevail over any other influence”, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla on the occasion of the election of Mr. Arian Gashi as the new Chairperson of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.

Minister Gërvalla said this process contributes to the implementation of the reform that was initiated by our institutions a time ago to have a state of law and a functional prosecutorial system.

“The full functionalization of the Prosecutorial Council is essential to implementing and deepening the justice reform, as well as to strengthen the independence, integrity and accountability of the prosecutorial system”, said the Minister.

She said, she expected the new composition of Council to contribute with responsibility to the further advance the reform and the strengthen the rule of law in the country.
