Minister Gërvalla meets with Ambassadors: Finland and Slovenia important partners of the Republic of Kosovo

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla met today, in separate meetings, with Ambassador of Finland to the Republic of Kosovo Ms. Eevamari Laaksonen, and with Ambassador of Slovenia Mr. Borut Blaj.

 

The meetings stressed the close cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the two partner states, Finland and Slovenia, in particular the justice field and reform processes cooperation that aims to strengthen the rule of law and democratic institutions.

 

On this occasion, Minister Gërvalla expressed her appreciation for the continuous support to Kosovo by Finland and Slovenia over the years, emphasizing that both states remain important partners in advancing reforms in the justice system.

 

“Finland and Slovenia are important partners and friendly states to the Republic of Kosovo, and they have continuously supported strengthening of Kosovo’s institutions, democratic development and efforts to build a state of law”, said Minister Gërvalla.

 

During the meetings, further deepening of cooperation in important areas of justice was also discussed, including strengthening the rule of law, the fight against corruption and advancing reforms aimed at building independent, professional and credible institutions.

 

Minister Gërvalla reiterated the continuation of the Ministry of Justice’s cooperation with partners who share the same democratic values, such as Finland and Slovenia.
