“Access to justice is a fundamental right guaranteed to every citizen, without distinction,” stated Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla during her visits to the Regional Offices for Free Legal Aid.
During the visits, Minister Gërvalla was closely acquainted with the work of the professional staff and the services provided to citizens in need of free legal assistance.
“At the Regional Offices for Free Legal Aid in Ferizaj and Prizren, I witnessed firsthand the dedication of the professional staff, who handle various cases on a daily basis and provide legal support to citizens facing social and economic challenges,” said Minister Gërvalla.
She further emphasized that this service brings justice closer to the everyday lives and real needs of citizens.
“Free Legal Aid remains an essential mechanism for strengthening equality before the law, ensuring that no one is left behind due to economic or social circumstances. Through this system, effective access to justice is enhanced and citizens’ trust in state institutions is strengthened,” Minister Gërvalla stated.
Minister Gërvalla also stressed that the strengthening and further development of this system remain an institutional priority in support of the rule of law and the provision of equal justice for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
