Free Legal Aid Fair Held, Minister Gërvalla: Equal Access to Justice for All Citizens

Prishtina, 19/06/2026

As part of the Free Legal Aid Week, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla participated in the Free Legal Aid Fair, an activity aimed at bringing citizens closer to the free legal information and services.

Appreciating the importance of bringing the free legal services as close as possible to citizens, Minister Gërvalla said that the Free Legal Aid Fair activities make sure citizens are directly informed about the rights and services they are entitled to, making justice be closer and more accessible to all.

“Our goal is to inform citizens even more about the opportunities they have, because not everywhere in Kosovo people are aware of the free legal aid. We know that it is not an easy job as you handle the most vulnerable categories of our society, but precisely for this reason your work and commitment are extremely important”, said Minister Gërvalla.

During the fair, citizens had the opportunity to be informed and receive free legal advice from the Agency for Free Legal Aid and partner organizations, including the Kosovo Institute for Justice, the Kosovo Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Survivors, Social Housing and Property Rights in Kosovo (SHPRK), the Center for Legal Aid and Regional Development, and the Civil Rights Program in Kosovo.

Also, the Mobile Office of the Free Legal Aid Agency was available to citizens to provide legal advice and refer cases for further professional treatment in regional offices.
