The inter-institutional meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Chief of Staff of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, as well as representatives of the State Archives Agency of Kosovo (ASHAK).

As part of the Ministry of Justice’s plan to strengthen the administration of institutional documents, steps were agreed to begin the process of classifying, organizing and labeling documents, determining their storage deadlines and further treatment until their delivery and archival storage.

The process also includes the creation of appropriate conditions and spaces for the physical storage of documentation, according to archival standards, as well as the digitization and management of documents in electronic form.

The Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the responsible institutions and ASHAK, will continue to implement these measures in accordance with the Law on Office Work Administration, the Law on Archives and relevant sub-legal acts, in order to guarantee the administration, preservation and protection of institutional documentation.

This process aims to establish unified and sustainable standards in document management, creating a more organized, secure and digitized system of document administration in public institutions.
