Today, in an official ceremony organized by the Ministry of Justice, the 248 candidates, who successfully completed the Bar Exam, were awarded certificates.
Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla congratulated the candidates on the successful completion of the exam, marking an important stage in their professional journey, and appreciated their dedication, work and sacrifice during the Bar Exam preparation process.
“This involved a lot of years of education, a lot of months of preparation, a lot of work, sacrifice, an expectation as well. Your families waited and sacrificed for this together with you too. Plans for your career and for the future. And in addition to the certificate, today you take on a new responsibility, because you know very well, being a legal professional does not mean only knowing the law. It means having the courage to defend the law. Not to compromise with injustice. Not to use the profession for privilege, but only for justice”, said Minister Gërvalla.
She said the Republic of Kosovo needs professionals who believe in the law and who do not give in to pressure, interest or injustice.
“Today you celebrate a well-deserved success. Keep this success in a proud manner, but always bear the responsibility that comes with it, because justice is sought precisely with you. With people who have the courage and will to implement and defend the law”.
On the other hand, Minister Gërvalla announced that the Ministry of Justice will continue its work to modernize this process, through digitalization and more efficient, transparent and accessible procedures.
Minister Gërvalla stressed out that this term many times more candidates have passed the Bar Exam than in previous terms, a result that, according to her, proves the energy and great potential of the new generation of lawyers in our country.
She expressed her gratitude to the Chairman of the Commission Mr. Arian Gashi and the other members of the Commission, as well as to the staff from the Ministry of Justice, for their commitment and contribution to the smooth running of the process.
This event, important for the justice system in the country as well, was attended also by Caretaker Deputy Minister of Justice Genc Nimoni, the Chairman and members of the Bar Exam Commission, the staff of the Ministry of Justice, as well as the families of the certified candidates.
