Continuation of work on the drafting of the National Strategy for Protection from Domestic Violence, Violence against Women and Gender-Based Violence 2027–2031

The Ministry is hosting the latest meeting as part of the process of drafting the National Strategy for Protection from Domestic Violence, Violence against Women and Gender-Based Violence 2027–2031, with a focus on Strategic Objective I – Integrated Policies.
Members of the Working Group, together with representatives of other institutions invited within the framework of inter-institutional cooperation at the meeting, are contributing to the drafting and concretization of this strategic objective.
Representatives from the Office for Good Governance under the Prime Minister’s Office, the Information and Privacy Agency and the Kosovo Agency of Statistics were also included in the meeting, with the aim of providing expertise and relevant institutional perspectives on the areas covered by this objective.
Strategic Objective I aims to strengthen comprehensive and coordinated policies, coordination and institutional accountability in preventing and combating domestic violence, violence against women, and gender-based violence.
The meeting discussed the importance of strengthening the institutional coordination mechanisms at central and local levels, clearly defining institutional responsibilities, ensuring the necessary financial and human resources, as well as sustainable cooperation between institutions and civil society was emphasized.
Special attention is also being paid to strengthening systems for collecting, managing and reporting data, harmonizing data and indicators, and developing mechanisms for monitoring, evaluating and measuring the results and impact of policies.
The work of the Working Group will continue with the aim of drafting a comprehensive, measurable and implementable Strategy, which will address in a coordinated manner the prevention and combating of violence against women, domestic violence and gender-based violence.
