Prishtina, 24/02/2026

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla received today in a courtesy meeting the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Mr. Nuno Queirós. They had a substantive discussion on strategic priorities and concrete direction of inter-institutional cooperation.

The focus of their discussion was the advancement of justice reform, the strengthening of anti-corruption mechanisms, the guarantee of equal access to justice for every citizen, the vetting process in the justice system, the law on the Bureau, the consolidation of accountability mechanisms, as well as the effective addressing of domestic violence.

“In order for these policies to be successfully implemented and yield concrete results, they require not only political will, but also sustainable capacities and technical expertise,” said Minister Gërvalla.

Additionally, Minister Gërvalla praised the cooperation with UNDP as an important instrument of technical support, capacity development and harmonizing of reforms with international standards.

“However, the objective of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo remains clear: policies producing measurable results, institutions functioning with integrity, and a justice system that enjoys the trust of citizens,” said Minister Gërvalla. She also added, the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to deepening partnerships that contribute to strengthening the rule of law and accelerating reforms with real impact on citizens.
