Today, Deputy Minister of Justice Genc Nimoni received Ambassador Tim Enderlin, Head of the Division for Peace and Human Rights at the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who was accompanied by representatives of the Swiss Embassy in Kosovo.

Deputy Minister Nimoni stressed out the importance of the rule of law as one of the fundamental pillars of the democratic functioning of the state.

During the meeting, Nimoni highlighted some of the results achieved so far related to the justice reform. The meeting also discussed the Transitional Justice Strategy, its implementation so far, as well as plans for reviewing the Strategy in accordance with current developments and needs.

Switzerland’s role in supporting processes related to the rule of law and transitional justice in Kosovo was appreciated also.

Finally, Deputy Minister Nimoni underlined the importance of the continued cooperation between Kosovo institutions and international partners in strengthening the rule of law.
