Deputy Minister Nimoni participates in public hearing on the Draft Law on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustifiable Assets, organized by the Assembly

The Deputy Minister of Justice, Mr. Genc Nimoni, today participated in a public hearing on the Draft Law No. 10/L-019 on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustifiable Assets, convened by the Commission on Legislation, Mandates, Immunities, the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, and the Oversight of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
During his speech, Deputy Minister Nimoni initially presented the draft law, outlining the stages through which its drafting and review process has passed. He emphasized that the draft law has been handled in a comprehensive and professional manner, based on three opinions of the Venice Commission, the recommendations of the Constitutional Court, the professional contributions of international and local experts, as well as relevant comments from contributors to this initiative.
In this context, before the members of the Committee, institutional representatives, civil society representatives, and other participants, the Deputy Minister underlined that the current version of the draft law reflects constitutional and international standards.
Nimoni also confirmed the readiness of the Ministry of Justice to review and address all recommendations and comments presented during the public hearing, emphasizing the importance of addressing any issue that may potentially raise dilemmas.
In conclusion, he reiterated that the Ministry of Justice remains open to cooperation and contributions from all interested parties, with the aim of finalizing the draft law as an important step in strengthening mechanisms for combating corruption and confiscating unjustifiable assets.
