Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Donika Gërvalla, received the Acting EU Ambassador to Kosovo, Eva Palatova.

During this meeting, Minister Gërvalla informed Ms. Palatova about the progress in finalizing the package of draft laws stemming from the Joint Declaration of Commitment, in accordance with the recommendations of the Venice Commission, a key process for advancing reforms in the justice system within the framework of the Growth Plan.

“Strengthening the rule of law remains the foundation of the democratic development of the Republic of Kosovo”, reiterated Minister Gërvalla during the conversation.

In this regard, other Reform Agenda issues, priorities and justice legislative agenda were also discussed.

“The European Union remains an important partner on this journey, and we will keep our close cooperation to deepen reforms and strengthen justice institutions in Kosovo,” Minister Gërvalla said, among other things.
