Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Donika Gërvalla, visited the regional offices of the Kosovo Probation Service in the municipalities of Ferizaj and Prizren in order to gain closer insight into the work, challenges, and functioning of this important institution within the justice system.
During the visit, Minister Gërvalla emphasized the role of the Kosovo Probation Service in the implementation of court decisions, as well as its importance in supporting the rehabilitation and social reintegration of individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
“During the meeting with the Director of the Kosovo Probation Service, Mr. Arsim Tahiri, we discussed issues primarily related to the institution’s day-to-day functioning, institutional capacities, and the need for further improvement of working conditions and resources, with the aim of ensuring the most effective fulfilment of the Service’s legal mandate,” stated Minister Gërvalla.
Furthermore, Minister Gërvalla praised the contribution of the Kosovo Probation Service as an integral part of the justice system, contributing to the implementation of the law and the effective enforcement of correctional policies.
