The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Donika Gërvalla visited the Regional Office for Free Legal Aid (ROFLA) in Gjilan today.

“Supporting citizens facing social, economic and legal challenges, the Free Legal Assistance remains one of the most important pillars to guarantee equality before law,” said the Minister, assessing it as one of the key mechanisms for ensuring and guaranteeing equal access to justice for all citizens.

During the visit, Minister Gërvalla was firsthand informed of commitment of the professionals ensuring the law changes from abstract principles into concrete services for the citizens of our Republic, making justice accessible to the most needed ones.

Moreover, the Minister observed the operationalization of the mobile office, a direct expansion of free legal aid services. This approach, Minister Gërvalla said, ensures justice is not confined within institutions only, but rather reaches out to the citizens, addressing barriers to access.

“Access to justice is not just an institutional standard, but a direct obligation to every citizen. For this reason, strengthening this system remains an inseparable priority in function of a rule of law that acts and serves everyone equally,” Minister Gërvalla concluded.
