As part of her visits to justice institutions, Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Donika Gërvalla, visited the Basic Court in Prishtina, where she was received by the President of the Court, Mr. Ngadhnjim Arrni.
During the meeting, President Arrni briefed Minister Gërvalla on the organization and functioning of the Basic Court in Prishtina, including its organizational structure and the work carried out by the court’s departments and branches.
The discussion also focused on the functioning of the judicial system, interinstitutional cooperation, the challenges faced by justice institutions, efficiency in case management, the improvement of working conditions, and strengthening public trust in the justice system.
Minister Gërvalla emphasized that strengthening the justice system remains one of the key institutional priorities, stressing that a professional, efficient, and credible judiciary is essential for upholding the rule of law and ensuring equal treatment of citizens before the law.
She also reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Justice to supporting judicial institutions in advancing reforms and enhancing transparency, accountability, and integrity within the justice system.
