The Acting Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, participated today in the works and discussions of the small working group addressing the Venice Commission recommendations regarding the package of laws stemming from the Joint Declaration of Commitment, organized by the Ministry of Justice and support by UNDP.

The workshop presented the main Venice Commission findings regarding all six legal acts, followed by the review of various recommendations.

In his speech, Minister Sallahu emphasized the need that each Venice Commission recommendation be carefully treated and adapted for integration in the legislative package. He expressed his satisfaction with the Ministry of Justice’s ongoing commitment to incorporating these comments, which will contribute to strengthening the rule of law, restoring citizens’ trust in the justice system, and facilitate the process of European Union integration.
