The “Home for the Elderly and Persons Without Family Care” in Prishtina was the next location visited by the Acting Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, as part of the activities within the Global Campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.”

Minister Sallahu was received by Adelinë Sahiti, Prishtina Municipality Director of Social Welfare, Raze Aliçkaj, Director of the Home for the Elderly and Persons Without Family Care, other professional staff, and residents of the home.

Minister Sallahu expressed both his readiness and the Ministry of Justice’s to continue their commitment in solving any challenge and problem that is faced while carrying out duties of the institutions. He highly praised the dedication and generosity of the administrative, medical, social, and technical staff, which, as the minister stated, improves the lives of this sensitive category.

Representatives of the institution said their cooperation with other institutions was satisfactory.  On the other hand, elderly residents were happy about the visit of minister Sallahu, with whom they discussed of their everyday life.
