Prishtina, 04/12/2025

Today, Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, started by visiting the Youth Center Avoko in Dragash, where he was welcomed by its manager, Jeton Qengaj.

Surrounded by many young people from Dragash, Minister Sallahu lay the emphasis on the cyber-violence, which is the special focus of the current Global Campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.”

He said the violence should have no place in our society, adding that reading is the way to eliminating all forms of violence. According to Minister Sallahu, it is essential that young generations—the key to the future—should perceive knowledge not as a burden, but as a powerful tool to fight ignorance and to improve themselves through educational and academic programs.

In the legal context, Minister Sallahu informed the youth about the measures taken against online violence referring to the establishment of administrative measures to prevent this form of violence, the punishment through the Criminal Code, and various awareness campaigns launched by the Ministry of Justice. He also spoke of the joint property division, highlighting the drafting of the Civil Code, which precisely regulates the right to equality in property and inheritance.

During the meeting, Minister Sallahu answered the questions of the youth, who thanked him for his visit and the opportunity to engage in this informative and productive dialogue.
