As part of the global campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” the Acting Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, visited the Free Legal Aid Agency (FLAA) Regional Office in Prizren.

He was welcomed by the Acting Executive Director of FLAA, Faton Jashari, the head of the Prizren FLAA Office, Fjorda Mujollar, legal officer Mihat Sylejmani, as well as other officials from Theranda and Dragash.

Minister Sallahu expressed his gratitude for the institutional and the generous commitment for the vulnerable groups. He said their commitment should continue at same pace and encouraged them to further expand it to ensure efficient protection for these groups. The Minister went on to highlight the importance of proper institutional communication, which, he noted, contributes to problem-solving and the provision of necessary support for vulnerable categories, including victims of violence.

The head of the Prizren FLAA Office, Fjorda Mujollar, briefed Minister Sallahu on the office’s work to date, reporting that 1,000 cases have been handled in 2025, including 600 cases in the city of Prizren and 200 more in Theranda and Dragash each.

Minister Sallahu used the opportunity to meet one of the service recipients, who shared their positive experience with the services provided by the Prizren FLAA Office.

The FLAA is an executive agency within the Ministry of Justice, the only one of its kind in the Republic of Kosovo, responsible for organizing and providing free legal aid.
