The Working Group for drafting and finalizing the Draft Law on amending and supplementing Law No. 05-L-049 on the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets conducted a workshop today.

The workshop was opened by the Chairperson of the Working Group, who is also the Director of European Integration at the Ministry of Justice, Lulzim Beqiri. He emphasized the importance of further advancing the legal framework in this area, with a focus on establishing the Confiscation Fund, which also constitutes an international obligation within the framework of the Growth Plan.

During the workshop, participants discussed key issues related to the content of the draft law, stressing that the process of reviewing and amending this law is necessary for harmonization with European standards and for improving institutional practices.

This workshop was organized by the Ministry of Justice and supported by the EU-funded project “Home Affairs Program of European Union in Kosovo (HAPE)”.
