VIGAN QORROLLI

Deputy Minister of Justice

On July 7, 2023, Vigan Qorrolli was appointed deputy minister in the Ministry of Justice by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

 

He was born on June 3, 1983 in Pristina. He completed his regular law studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Southeast Europe in Tetovo (Republic of North Macedonia). He completed his postgraduate studies in the field of International Relations at the Corvinus University of Budapest in Hungary.

 

He is a doctoral student in the field of public international law at the Faculty of Law of the Karl-Franzens University of Graz in Austria.

 

Deputy Minister Qorrolli is also a regular teacher at the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, where, among other things, he teaches the following subjects: International Human Rights Law, International Organizations, Environmental Law, Basics of Judicial System and also is a member of the Center for Sustainable Energy at the University of Pristina where he teaches the subject, International Energy and Environmental Law.

 

He has also previously lectured in public universities and some of Kosovo’s private institutions of higher education.   In 2013, as a US State Department scholarship holder, he stayed as a Visiting Professor at the American University, Washington College of Law in Washington DC – as part of the JFDP scholarship program scheme.

 

Deputy Minister Qorrolli’s previous experiences include being a Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Justice (2011-2015), as well as the Head of the Office for Public Communication at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo (2010-2011).

 

Deputy Minister Qorrolli has regularly participated in various academic conferences inside and outside the country during his work as an expert and lecturer on law and international relations, while he is the author of several scientific works and a book.

 

Lives in Pristina, is married to Mrs. Gresa Baftiu-Qorrolli, economist and they have three sons: Zani, Miri and Zgjoi.
