Role and Mission

The role and mission of the Ministry of Justice is based on the legal provisions of

Government Regulation No. 02/2021, (for the areas of administrative responsibility

of the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministries).

Role

Supervision and administration of legal and correctional services,

drafting of legal and by-laws, and care for the licensing and supervision

of certain legal professions. Another role is also to provide support

in dealing with social and human issues, as well as representing the state

in judicial and international proceedings.

Mission

Preparation and implementation of policies and legislation in the field of justice,

ensuring a fair approach and effective in the justice system and its protection

of citizens’ rights, in accordance with the Constitution and laws in force.
